The animal suffering in Kosovo is enormous. Animals die from hunger, disease, and being hit by vehicles.

According to estimates, between 35,000 and 40,000 homeless dogs and cats roam around.

Animals Kosovo strives for a better life for the (stray) animals in Kosovo. Our foundation works with local volunteers and veterinarians on a humane solution to stop the population from growing.

Sterilization projects

Our top priority is to have as many dogs and cats sterilized as possible. This way, we prevent the birth of animals that would face a miserable life. In our first year, we have already helped 2,000 animals, but we are far from finished. We are grateful for every donation. The cost of sterilizing a dog is 45 euros and a cat 25 euros.

Care for weakened animals

In addition, we want to help sick, injured, and young animals. We regularly find young animals without a mother. Young animals are doomed without our help. We do not have a shelter on-site ourselves, but fortunately, there are volunteers and veterinarians in Kosovo who help care for weakened animals and ensure they can recover.
